“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels,
in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.”
Ansel Adams
Flowers I
In this gallery, I approached each subject as if taking a portrait. I wanted to go beyond the purely botanical and look for something deeper. The intention was to highlight the emotional response to the flower. Some of the images seem inherently sad and melancholic, while others are brimming with confidence. Color and form interplay to materialize these changes in emotional response.
Landscapes
Throughout my life, it has been the wild places and the high places that have inspired me and filled my soul. My landscape photographs are often more literal than contrived—capturing a moment, often as a selfish act, to remind me of what I love and what I’ve left behind. For me, landscape photography is about paying attention, capturing what’s already there, without imposing a story.
